-Must be able to stand 7+ hours on concrete floor with 40 minutes for breaks & personal time.
-Must be able to move from one loom to another in checking & repairing loom to workable state. Travels approximately 100-150' of space 20 times per shift & to the supply room.
-Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs., and push/pull tool cart of up to 68 lbs.
-Must be able to hear prontow & tugger alarms at a distance of 10'. Must be able to communicate problems to other technicians & supervisors
-Must be able to reach 40" approximately several times/shift in repairing looms.
-Must be able to see mechanical difficulties of loom & be able to distinguish quality defects, color acuity, & distinguishing colors.
-Must be able to bend/stoop as necessary to floor level approximately 20 times/shift, bending to mop oil under looms on assigned set daily.
-Must be able to crawl under loom as needed & walk between looms spaced 16" apart.
-Must wear hearing protection, hazardous communication program, Lock-Out/Tag-Out program, JSA, & wear safety goggles/glasses & dust mask as needed.
-Must be able to read & write
-Qualified weaver (must meet standard for skill & knowledge exercises.). Previously qualified rapier technicians will be given priority.
-Preferred High School Graduate
-Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences
