The Project Manager plans, directs, & coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished withing prescribed time frames & funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
- Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, & allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
- Establishes work plan & staffing for each phase of the project & arranges for assignment of project personnel
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan & to assing duties, responsibilities, & scope of authority
- Directs & coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule & within prescribed budget
- Reviews status reports & prepared by project personnel & modifies schedules or plans as required
- Prepares project reports for managements, customers, or others
- Confers & assists project personnel with technical advice & to resolve problems
