-Serve as a program manager to assure all the stages & daily operations of the volunteer program runs efficiently by monitoring, implementing, improving, & evaluating best practices such as: logistics & operation of volunteer sessions, volunteer communication, volunteer recognition, scheduling, volunteer data tracking via CERVIS, application of SOPs, warehouse & food safety policies & procedures.
-Work with the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Regional Volunteer Manager to implement volunteer recruitment & retention strategies by proactively engaging with volunteers, community members, & public/private organizations as a representative of the volunteer program & food bank
-Work in collaboration with Manager of Volunteer Engagement & General Operations to obtain & apply knowledge of handling procedures for: product inventory & records management, donated product, product repackaging, produce & egg sorting, food drive sorting, CSFP, & food safety quality control standards & regulations per Feeding America & governing authorities. Ensure effective & complete implementation of all standards & regulations. Assisting during the AIB process as needed.
-Ensure cross-functional collaboration within the organization to provide volunteer support for special events/programs including Community Health & Engagement, Food Sourcing & Network, Development, Programs, & other internal departments as needed.
-Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive stewardship program that appropriately & consistently promotes the cultivation of donors at all levels, including actively monitoring & communicating with the development team about potential volunteer-to-donor individuals & groups.
